During the four months of December 2015 through March 2016, my husband and I were on an extended holiday in Mexico and the United States. Luckily I knew Pam Taylor and Lynda Binder who own a business called “The Great Attenders”. Their service offered a constant vigilance over our home. Our sidewalks were shovelled, the freezer was monitored, the house was kept spotlessly clean and we had peace of mind as to security of our home. We were extremely satisfied with the service and highly recommend this company. They are completely honest and reliable and we will definitely use their services again.

I hired Great Attenders to check my house while I was on a short vacation and I’m so glad I did. While I was away my furnace quit working these ladies were able to take control by placing a heater in the house to prevent the pipes from freezing until the furnace could be repaired therefore saving me a major problem. I will definitely hire them again next time I go on vacation.

I was facing, largely single-handed, the overwhelming task of preparing my mom’s house (of 30 years) for sale. Being a mom, she had saved everything from our infancy – and the house itself, although well built, had wear-and-tear after three decades of living. I was introduced to the Great Attenders Team by my realtor, and felt almost immediately that I was well-supported.. 

TGA have an almost intuitive knack of knowing what is needed when. In addition, they have a great respect for the wishes and vision of the client. Together, these two specialties made it possible to transform the house into market-ready, in what feels like record time. As non-residents, we engaged the services of the Great Attenders for almost a year. They were extremely helpful overseeing a vacant, for-sale house and property in Calgary. The Great Attenders arrived promptly, listened to our needs and executed a plan. Each visit was logged and reported by email as to the condition of the dwelling and property and if any mail was received. Mail was forwarded if requested. With their valuable networking and knowledge of the Calgary area, they were ready to call on the appropriate trade. During the COVID-19 pandemic methods were activated with our realtor to prevent the spread of the virus to potential buyers. The Great Attenders did an amazing job and we wholeheartedly recommend them. They are a considerate, pleasant, well organized, dedicated and congenial team who gave us peace of mind at a stressful time.

The Great Attenders were recommended to us by a friend back in 2020 and we have been using them a few times a year ever since. We feel very secure in knowing they are looking after our home while we are away. They water our indoor plants and send us pictures of our mail in case there is something that is time sensitive. They make sure everything is secure and working – fridge, freezer and furnace. We are very happy with their service and will continue to use them when we go away.

We have been using Great Attenders for a number of years now and cannot imagine using anyone else for our home. They can be counted on to do a thorough check of your home, yard and garage. There is a detailed checklist that they use along with your preferences and anything else that might need special attention. In the past we have used neighbours and friends to check while we’re away but they weren’t always dependable. We would highly recommend Great Attenders!

For many reasons our usual housesitting arrangements were no longer desirable and a girlfriend offered me a card from the TGA’s. They came to our home to familiarize us with their services and themselves with our home.

Shortly after we departed for our winter home, we developed a water problem in the basement. The GAs dealt with it swiftly and very thoroughly, at what we feel was a reasonable price. Instead of feeling stressed about the situation, we both felt a great sense of relief that the problem was taken care of professionally, with no inconvenience to ourselves, our friends or our family.

We will definitely use them again in the future!

For the last five years the gals at The Great Attenders have been carefully checking our home as if it was their own! Each room is walked through on each visit. Watering my numerous plants were a concern of mine when we travel, but Pam purchased a device to measure soil moisture. Going that extra mile is what The Great Attenders are known for!!  We are away for more than two months in the winter, and to rely on The Great Attenders to check our home weekly is a wonderful reassurance to know our home is being cared for.

We recently used the Great Attenders to check our house  while we were on vacation.    Upon meeting the ladies I knew our house would be in good hands while we were gone.  They were friendly but very professional.    We were only gone 10 days and it went smoothly with no issues.   They sent us an update each time they checked on our home.   We highly recommend using The  Great Attenders!  We will certainly use them again.
